Regular visitors of our good friends over at PhanArt may have noticed a significant milestone on their charitable donations list: with a $100 donation from Zuckerpinz on May 18th, total donations to The Mockingbird Foundaton by PhanArt and their Friends now tops $10,000. On behalf of all of us here at the Foundation, and in the name of all the grants and programs these donations help us to support (including running Phish.net), we thank PhanArt Pete and the entire PhanArt community for your ongoing generosity.

PhanArt was launched by Pete Mason in 2004 with a mission "to compile and preserve art created by Phish fans for the Phish community and, in the course of such work, to also benefit The Mockingbird Foundation, which raises funds for music education for children." Their first production was a 400+ page color "coffee table book" documenting Phish fan art, and the scene and artists around its creation. While the print edition is out of print, this gorgeous book is available for most e-readers, with proceeds benefiting The Mockingbird Foundation. Next came the PhanArt Blog, a thriving online community featuring news, a marketplace, artist interviews and charity auctions of Phish fan art. As the PhanArt community continues to grow, we thank the many artists and vendors for your spirit of creativity and generosity, as many choose to "give back" by donating a portion of their sales (or special auctions) to the Foundation.
