CASH OR TRADE NEEDS YOUR HELP

Over the past 4 years CashorTrade.org has been completely free. Dusty and Brando have spent hours upon hours coding the site, working with members to solidify trades, building the mobile app, setting up the trading tent on tour, and so much more. As the community reaches 25,000 members, it has become difficult for them to progress it on their own and without funding.

Brando says, "We see so many ways in which we could advance the program and supply more tickets to more events, yet time and money is limited. In an effort to keep CashorTrade alive and to bring it to the next level we need your help. We are just now releasing our new Gold Membership to help fund the launch of our new trade tools."

Gold Membership will hopefully revolutionize the way fans communicate about tickets, while making it social. With the donations, COT will be able to finish the development of useful tools, such as mobile notifications, buyer/seller protections, and suggested trades. For example, you could be sitting on a beach, and receive a text message alerting you to the availability of a ticket to a sold-out show -- a ticket you'd been dying to score for weeks!

Along with the Gold Membership tools, COT is offering limited edition merchandise, too. They have a CashorTrade Pin, T-Shirt, and Hat only available to the backers of their project. You can back their project by clicking here: http://cashortrade.org/donate

If you are a fan who believes in face value tickets, please support this idea. Tell your friends by posting their donate page in your social networks. The more we help each other with the supply of face value tickets, the more we strengthen, and benefit, as a community. As they say at COT, #EmbracetheFace!

tmwsiy Good Luck to Dusty and Brando. They have worked tirelessly, selflessly, and enthusiastically helping fans. It is a great community resource and I hope they are able to take it to the next level like they envision.

As an aside, I encourage people to utilize COT for not only the "hard" ticket but also the "easy" ticket. #EmbraceTheFace needs to go BOTH ways. I find people who expect to roll up to under-sold shows and get free tickets to be just as much as scourge on the scene as scalpers. Paying face and helping someone get back face value for a show they can't get to is the right thing to do as opposed to expecting someone to pay for your ticket.

Embrace the Face indeed!

I totally agree! I just made my contribution to CoT and encourage as much participation as possible....Brando and Dusty have created something really special and creative instead of just bitching about scalping or even joining that scuzzy industry as an amateur on stubhub or craigslist because "everyone else is doing it and why not get my ticket free".

mebrando We love you guys and thank you so much for your support. @tmwsiy you are right on point in regards to maintaining face value on both ends of the spectrum. This is such a major issue that Dusty and I work night and day to remedy through the site.

**Your donations will also fund the completion of our fan point system where fans are rewarded for face value transactions and trades. We hope this will become the incentive that members needs to keep things at face value.

The common scenario:
"Dude, I know I told you I would take your ticket for face, but now I see that they are in high supply, so how about $20 instead of face". This same friend will complain all day long about them going for $100 above face.

We agree, below face value is just as bad as above face because in the end the fan loses. The deflation of ticket prices makes it difficult for members to get their money back if they can't make the show, and the inflation makes it hard to buy a ticket for hundreds of dollars. CashorTrade.org is about all fans winning, all the time. We hope our new services will help provide the incentive members need to maintain at face value all the time.

If you are a true fan, support the fans. We encourage you to buy tickets at face and your chances of scoring a hard to get ticket at face increases. Follow through, pay face value, gain reviews, become a gold member and you will be rewarded for your participation. The amount of positive transactions at face value has been astounding. You are making it happen, and Dusty and I are honored to be a part of the process.

We are all in it together, and none of us need to take a bath on tickets. See you in Maine. Can't wait. Party time opener?

brando @Ifthir - We will be offering you rewards for your donation including he Gold Membership!

Also, if funds did go towards a tour, which they won't this year, they would be funding the CashorTrade tent that we have been setting up on lot of the past 4 summers helping people meet up and make connections to buy, sell, and trade their tickets at face. :-)

Thank you all so much. Bangor was a success and we will be set up for the 3 days at SPAC. Stop by and say hello!
